Got up at 4:30am to go and catch bait. I managed to bring home 14 big gizzard shad this morning. I guess I have 40-50 big shad in my tank now, and that is a lot of fishing! I will try to go again this week to get another load before the water warms and they leave the creeks. My dad and I went on a little scouting trip this morning and it was SLOW! The rising water will fool you on the depths right now as we are still almost 6ft. below full pool. Hopefully the water will continue to rise and the nights will get warmer, this all translates into better fishing. To see the current lake levels just click on the link on my front page.

Fished Mr. Tony York and his dad again this morning. We ended up with only 6 fish but we had some very nice fish. In fact we had one blue that had two gizzard shad in her over eleven inches long. The flathead on day one broke my boga grip scales so we couldn't weigh her but she was a nice one! I think the Yorks had a good time because they have rebooked for the middle of October. They were good fisherman, not just pole holders! Look forward to them coming back.

Fished Mr. Tony York and his dad today. We ended up with eleven fish but they were good quality fish. We had several in the 20-30lb. range. The fish are scattered right now, catching fish in two feet of water, fish in thirty feet of water, and anywhere between. Hopefully with some warmer nights things will get better in the shallow water.
