Myself along with Capt. David Hilton left out at 4:30am. this morning in search of some big gizzard shad. I threw the net until I was exhausted and only caught three shad. They seem to have disappeared since the weekend. I don't know if the cold nights have done it or what, but they are gone! Hopefully with the next two days being 75-80 deg. they will return to some of the shallow areas where we can catch them in the daylight. I will be back after them on Fri. afternoon with hopefully better results. Looking forward to fishing the weekend but the weather man has me worried with a cold front coming through again on Sunday. Colder weather, cloudy skies with a chance of rain, and 15-20mph. winds on Sat. doesn't exactly give me that "warm fuzzy feeling" . Hopefully he will be wrong and the fish will cooperate but from the reports that I have gotten this week it's been slow since Sat. Tight lines!
